Amy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Amy is a Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy and is an independent contractor for Neuro Harmony, LLC. She has worked as a mental health professional in the child welfare system since 2005 serving families with young children affected by domestic violence, abuse and neglect, interpersonal trauma, and the resulting attachment difficulties.

Amy is trained in Level II EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Level Two Theraplay, and uses non-directive play therapy and other trauma informed approaches in her work with children. Amy prioritizes involving parents and caregivers in the healing process and enjoys working with families to increase attachment and in bringing joy back into the parent/child relationship.
