I have spent the majority of my career as an elementary school counselor and am also a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have a Master of Science in Counseling from Eastern Illinois University with a concentration in School Counseling, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lincoln Christian University.

I have been working with children for the past nine years and have experience working with families in crisis or experiencing homelessness, helping them connect to resources in the community. I feel especially skilled in working with issues such as anxiety, ADHD, grief/loss, and depression. I use a strength-based approach when working with kids and their families. I also utilize play therapy techniques alongside a Cognitive Behavioral approach. I love to incorporate mindfulness, psychoeducation, and bibliotherapy to best meet the needs of the child and their family. I prioritize the consistent and safe relationship that allows children to know we are a team and to feel supported and cared for.
